{jules} I walk past this spray painted bird everyday, all day at school and every time I see it,  I give my blessing to the person who did it.

{megs} It's a little hard to see the whole thing, but it is an amazing song by mumford and suns.It's corny but I like to wake up and see this saying every morning.

And I completely agree with jules. I miss that little bird.

Exhaustion

{jules} on friday I went to cheer on Angela in her last home swim meet. We happened to sit next to our other friend's {Kim} family so I enjoyed some great conversation with Kim's grandma. I love watching the meets, it wears me out just sitting in the stands. I can't image how exhausted the team is after a meet.

{megs} on friday we had a birthday party for Erin. I was quite proud of my pinterest ombre four layered cake until we lit the candles and the flags caught on and ignited the whole cake. I learned my lesson- listen to my mom who warned me of that fact an hour before and don't take balloons to a party with boys who think it is really funny to loudly pop them and get management called on you. Yay for pinterest!



wishing for narnia

{megs} This is the beautiful road i get to drive up everyday to my house. It's takes your breath away in the fall and almost kills you in the winter, but it makes you feel as though the snow witch from narnia is going to pop out around every corner.

{jules} I have a mini job during the school year of playing in a quartet at uvu for different gigs around the school. its way easy and pays well but between the band, the quartet and violin classes it feels like it is taking over my life. i wish i was in farmington aka narnia with megs and no violin.

free time

{megs}There is some serious crafting going on over here. how fun are these photo booth props? The answer is so much fun. They came from ohhappyday.com and let me tell you- using an exacto knife is not as easy as she makes it sound. Best of luck to ya!

{jules} I went up to the sundance film festival and saw "Sleepwalk with Me." Sundance with the Honors program can be a serious hit or miss and this was a hit. 

some of the best things

{jules} On Friday I went to a free Joshua James concert in American Fork. I know I always say "it was the best thing of my life" but I am being for real this time around, it was one of the best concerts of my life. Besides incredible music, it had everything you want for a good time from nice lights to homemade vegan cookies.

{megs} On Saturday we ventured out of the apartment at 3pm after a good sleep and pre cleaning check cleaning to The Sweet Tooth Fairy. It took all of my self control to refrain from taking pictures of everything. Cake bites are added to my top things in this world. P.S I feel like my eyes are telling me i'm going to the right country.



friendlies

{megs} people really should be careful about being friends with me. Sadly the taxidermy museum was only 1 out of 3 museums we went to over the weekend. At the aquarium we were the only people without little kids, I touched stingrays and soaked my clothes with my terrible depth perception, and yelled way to loud at the otter-ly adorable exhibit (picture above proves this point).

{jules} people should really be happy about being friends with me. I make forts with twinkle lights, fans and otter pops. Pillow talk is welcomed and any new juicy gossip is always a treat. Also an apology from me for the lack of blog posts. Megan has been on top of it this week.

A Taxidermy Museum

{jules} on saturday meg forced us on a creepy field trip at byu. the picture gives you a little taste of what we saw there

{megs} and by forced, Jules meant they were practically on their knees begging me to take them to this museum that seems to have no purpose other than make dates awkward and entertain byu's many families. The artsy side of me really liked the butterfly made of smaller butterflies, and the adventure side really like the gazel in the air.



The old and The new

{jules} jelly rolls were always my favorite when i was younger. the awesome rolls that had a lighting bolt, on the cap, which let you erase one color to the other color, are my favvvv

{megs} This past weekend I enjoyed my FIRST hamburger (yes, I did say first). It was quite the show, complete with commentary on the speaker, video, and cheers. BBQ's are now going to be hard- hot dogs OR hamburgers?



Just A Normal Day

{jules} school has been great so far. history, especially art histroy has always been one of my favorite subjects. this semester i am taking intro to non-western art. i haven't studied any non-western art before, yet i love native american, indian and african art so i am super excited for it and i am loving the class already. we have to write a huge paper by the end of class so hopefully mother wood's teachings comes in use.

{megs} I'm not that good at self timer pictures-guess I should work on making them look less awkward-but this post isn't about that, it's about the leather pants. You heard me, leather pants. My latest obsession. I have got quite mixed opinions on them, but they are stretchy, shiny, and fit into boots, oh and cost 15 dollars on Amazon. Have fun at school Jules, while I lounge in my pants and watch footloose.



The Band

{jules} the band is back after a three week break. good things are coming up for january. we are opening on jan. 21 for matt costa at byu! so exciting! 

{megs} This was taken back in December at Battle of the Bands, which the band rocked at. Definitely the crowd favorite with the feathers. I can't wait for Matt Costa!

Chocolate Covered China

{jules} guilty pleasures leftover from christmas. if you want to know how to get on my good side, give me a handful of these little babies. santa is on my good list. 

{megs} today was orientation for China. Which left me feeling way more unprepared than I already thought I was, but yet reassured. Until today I hadn't actually thought about the fact that I am responsible for teaching these five year olds to speak English, but they sure did not let me forget that at orientation. Oh and notice my cute 7 year pen, you can write everyday for 7 years and it won't run out, considering you can keep it that long (which I will), love Jules.

{jules} This photo is pretty self explanatory but both of us, megan and julie, love Harry Potter like nobody's business.  I couldn't agree more with Julie. A good book is one of the most comforting things to me.

I found this packet for the New Year from one of my favorite blogs- (elizabethkartchner.blogspot.com). It consists of: a letter to yourself, questions for the year, and a goal list. I love to make lists so it was amazing to get all of thoughts for the new year written down and stuffed in an envelope that I can come back to throughout the year.

{jules} my afternoon snack/lunch. starting the year out right with fries and training table style fry sauce. megan wasn't lying when she said I love eating these yummy things. this holiday season has caused me to basically gain my freshman 15 during my sophomore year winter break.

{megs} Twister just so happens to my favorite game, but for some reason I have a hard time finding participants, so when my favorite fellow ginger wanted to play, I was in heaven.

Happy 2012!
May we all try to keep our Resolutions until at least June this year.
I'm going small this year hoping to be able to keep them. I am trying to floss more and be happier at my moment in life, instead of waiting for the next big step to be happy.

So this is Mine and Julie's blog.

Julie and I met at our college honors orientation where she sat inbetween me and my roommate. I am lucky that Julie was oblivious to me and my roommate already knowing eachother, and therefore created our friendship.

Julie is a fan of:

 Playing violin in a hip band (Brady Parks & the IndiAnns), shopping, listening to music, stalking mary kate and ashley olsen and eating fries.

Megan is a fan of:

Dancing, watching fireworks, becoming musically elightened by Julie, meeting new people, and running.
